INNISFIL, Ontario — Running up front all weekend at Sunset Speedway, Eric Yorke came up just one spot in the Velocity 250 feature.
Yorke was fast through qualifying, winning both of his heats on Saturday afternoon.
Starting sixth after the redraw, he would make his way forward immediately, moving up into fourth on the opening lap. He would then get alongside Jason Tolton for third on Lap 3, taking the spot three laps later. He would then track down Samantha Shaw for second, getting alongside and passing her for the spot on Lap 10.
Through the remaining 25 laps of the feature, he would weave his way through lap traffic, trying to track down the race leader. However, he would be unable to close the gap, crossing the finish line with a second-place finish.
Yorke is proud to be supported by Can-Alignment Motorsports, Solex Steel, Partimer Signs, Skytec Rentals, Budget Tire, Scentsy Consultant – Lisa DeLeeuw, and Cabral Racing Promotions.
